Song ID support

Get a song match

1. Open Song ID and tap Listen.
2. Switch to the music or video app.
3. Play the song aloud through the same iPhone's speakers. Headphones will not work.
4. Stay connected to the internet while Song ID listens.

A listening session has a 20-second limit. It also ends when a song is found, you cancel, or an audio interruption occurs.

Add the Control Center control

On iOS 18 or later, make sure Live Activities are on for Song ID.

1. Open Control Center, then touch and hold its background.
2. Tap Add a Control.
3. Search for Song ID.
4. Add Listen with Song ID.

If nothing matches

1. Raise the iPhone speaker volume.
2. Try a well-known released song.
3. Check that Song ID has microphone permission in iOS Settings.
4. Check your internet connection, then start another listening session.

Before you write

• Include your iOS version.
• Include the Song ID version and build from the App Store.
• Describe what you tried and what happened.
• Never send recordings, passwords or codes.
