Play the lesson
The lesson has 13 stages. It starts with hops on a number path, then shows a ten-frame comparison to explain how to make ten when adding 8 + 6.
- Open Make Ten with Hops and tap Play for the narrated lesson.
- Tap Pause to stop and take your time.
- Use Back or Next to move between steps.
- Tap Replay to hear a step again.
- Tap Restart to begin the lesson again.
- Use Sound to turn narration on or off.
Captions stay visible, including when sound is off.
The full number path
On iPhone, use landscape so the full twenty-box path fits. Hold your iPhone sideways while following the lesson.
If there is no sound
- Check the silent switch or volume on your device.
- Turn Sound on in the app.
- Check that Spoken Content voices are installed in iOS Settings.
The narration uses your device's built-in text-to-speech voice.
Before you write
- Include your device model.
- Include your iOS version.
- Include the Make Ten with Hops app version and build.
- Describe what you tried and what happened.
- Never send personal information about a child.
